Selection Process
The scholarship selection committee plans to present a $2000 scholarship award in July 2026. This award is unprecedented in our history. Additional awards in various amounts will be presented to selected BGP family member graduates. The number of awards presented will be dictated by Donations received.
The selection process is administered by the GWB Scholarship Selection Committee. Awards are to be presented to students each July, with a formal presentation made at the Tri-Annual BGP Reunion by the Scholarship committee.
The GWB Scholarship Selection Committee will consider a combination of academic performance, community involvement, writing, and other criteria in the selection process. A rubric scoring system will be implemented by the GWB Selection Committee to identify our award recipients.
Scholarship Award
All graduating high school BGP family members in good standing are eligible to apply for the scholarship awards. These awards may be used for expenses related to 2 and 4-year colleges, as well as trade schools, including Cosmetology and Barber schools. The number and amount of scholarships will depend on your Donations.
